Life of this world

“The life of this world is not your permanent dwelling because Allah has decreed that it should perish and that all its dwellers should leave it. How many a populated area that will soon come to ruins, and how many a happy resident who will soon leave his residence. You should therefore leave this wolrd in the best way you can, and the best of provisions is piety. Since the life of this world is neither a home nor an abode for the believer, he should be in it, either a stranger whose objective is to take the required provisions and return home, or a traveler who is residing nowhere and who is proceeding day and night to reach a country of residence.”
Umar ibn `Abdil `Aziz

Alhumdulillah Allah Ta'la inspired me to compile the Quotes from our elders,i shouldn't confined them as quotes but rather Wisdom which benefitted the generation throughout the history Alhumdulillah !

Hear, O Faqir

“Hear, O faqir: every time I was lacking something, great or small,
and turned away from it in turning towards my Lord, I found it there
in front of me, thanks to the power of Him who hears and knows. We
see that the needs of ordinary people are filled by paying attention
to them, whereas the needs of the elect are filled by the very fact
that they turn away from them and concentrate upon God.
“He who by remembering Me is distracted from his petition, will
receive more than those who ask” (Hadith Qudsi).

Reality of Heart

Truly in the heart there is a void that can not be removed except with
the company of Allah. And in it there is a sadness that can not be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him. And in it there is an emptiness that can not be filled except with love for Him and by turning to Him and always remembering Him. And if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness."

-Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

Purify Your Heart

Allah Ta'la says in Quran (surah Ash Shura verses 26:88,89)
 ,يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ

"The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children but only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

While offering zuhur salah this very thought came to my mind. May Allah forgive me for lack of concentration How much concerned we are about cleaning our body but we never give a thought to clean our soul and and Heart, Heart which is the house of Allah.when we love our body this much why not love our heart and soul too that too is a part of our self being.Often we make earnest effort to clean our physical structure, we buy different soaps, body wash, perfumes, attar to beautify ourselves but we ignore our heart and soul.what a person generally does when he comes home back ,first thing he does is to wash his face to make his face free from germs so that his face leaves with freshness and shine but ever we thought to repent after committiing a sin to leave soul healthy again.Allah Ta'la is Ghfooror Raheem ,a sincere repentance will remove all impurities on your heart and soul.
Just like there too many means to clean the body like sopas, bodywash, facewash, perfumes etc.same there are many ways to clean heart too.
First remedy for heart is recitation of Quran.
Allah Ta'la says in Surah Yunus verse 10:57

"There hath come unto you an exhortation from your Lord. A balm for that which is in the breasts."And We reveal of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy for believers."

second the company of the pious people.I heard in the bayan of Arif Billah Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahab (damat Barakatuhun) that even if a person remains silent while sitting in the company of pious even then with the barakah of the pious ,they will be benfitted Alhumdulillah
Third one is to do lots of Astighfar, repentance from sin also remove all maladies of heart no matter how severe the sin is.
Once the heart become clean with sin the comes the time to make the heart fragrant like when we clean ourselves we apply attar,so the attar of heart is:
Zikr of Allah Ta'la and Durood upon our Beloved Prophet( sallallahu Alaihy Wasallam)
Like we make sincere effort to clean our body so should we make constant effort to clean our inner self too, even the efforts are count in Allah Ta'la court Alhumdulillah, no matter we succeed or fall how many times.
May Allah Ta'la resurrect us in state of total purification  of heart and soul Ameen !

Slave of Allah

This is the story that I read in newspaper few days back couldn't resist myself from sharing it.
Hazrat Ibrahim was the king of Balkh. That time poor were treated as slaves and sold and purchased thereof..Those slaves had to spend their whole life in the slavery of rich person in exchange of few rupees.Slaves didn't  have any wish of their own as they had to work according to the will of their owner.Once their happened to hold a market of selling  slaves.Hazrat Ibrahim happened to visit there and he also bought a slave that appear  very humble to him.Taken his slave he came back to his palace.Hazrat Ibrahim was known for his generosity.Out of his nature he asked the slave,"what is your name"The slave replied  that the name you wish  to call me by.
Hazrat Ibrahim asked,"what you will eat?" the slave replied whatever you give me.
Hazrat Ibrahim again asked,"what kind of clothes you like ?" slave replied whatever you give me to wear.
the next question Hazrat Ibrahim asked,"what work you would like to do?" again slave replied what you want me to do.
Finally Hazrat Ibrahim asked in astonishment.,"what exactly you want ?" The slave replied in modestly  that slave doesn't have their own will.
Hearing his reply Hazrat Ibrahim got up from his throne and embraced the slave and said you have taught me how a slave of Allah should be.
After reading this article I thought  ,exactly such kind of  thoughts a slave of Allah must be.When we talk about believers, when we say we are slave of Allah ,what does it  really mean?It means we are totally submitted to the will of Allah. If we are true believers we must resign to the will of Allah .we should annihilate  our own wishes and desire.only then we affirm we are true slave of Allah else it just matter of speaking a word nothing  more than that.I also reminded of ashar that I read in the article of my dear friend  that I wish to share it here :
“In whichever condition He keeps me,
It is the best condition for me.
Through whichever route He takes me
It is the easiest route for me.*”
